Project Name: Marian Regional Medical Center Magnetic Wall Graphics

Product Type: Magnetic Graphics System
Goal: To create a changeable art display for patients to interact with in the hospital corridors.
Solution: The Olee Team worked with interior designer Deborah Brandt to design this magnetic graphics system that allows patients an opportunity to create their own mini stories using the magnetic stickers. This fun, interactive art creates a positive distraction for patients during their stay in the hospital and provides an outlet for creativity while awaiting care.

Testimonial
Olee Creative was a great part of the design team at Marian Regional Medical Center's Pediatric expansion/renovation project. The project is located in Santa Maria, CA. Brandt Design Group (BDG) has been providing design services to this client for over 20 years. We were honored to provide the vision for the Pediatric project! A significant part of this project is a 30' long corridor mural, floor to ceiling that depicts the central coast outdoor life style - from the wonderful coastline, to the life giving farm fields, to the continuous rolling hills dotted with awe inspiring oak trees! The magnetic wall mural that Olee created is a perfect vision of Santa Maria and the surrounding communities! The healthcare durable material is easy to clean, provides changeable graphics that children (and adults) can move around - so much fun! And the wall mural visually expands the corridor! Olee worked very closely with the designers at Brandt Design Group to come up with the best product, fabulous mural design, and solved some challenging technical details for the installation. This is an active hospital with fluctuating census. Infection control considerations were the highest priority throughout the effort! Olee met all of the requirements and then some! The client and BDG are very pleased with the final outcome! Family, friends, staff......and the children are really enjoying this positive and uplifting mural!!

"This is an account of observations surrounding the magnetic mural wall installed in our Marian Regional Medical Center inpatient pediatric department. Broadly stated, the mural has been a draw for both adults and children alike. Depending on the configuration and current volume of movable magnetic stickers at any one time, the wall can blend into the environment and is not distracting. This is a beneficial feature as we care for the entire age span of pediatric patients including occasional overflow adult patients (particularly with the recent pandemic). The more or less neutral mural is not overly childish to be a turn off to older children or adults, yet it remains inviting particularly with the magnetic stickers as to be entertaining to both adults and children. We have now been witness to the joy of countless children and adults having fun interacting with the wall. Additionally, both the wall and magnetic stickers have proven to be durable and are not showing signs of degradation after repeated cleaning with the harsh products we use in the hospital."
