Project Name: University of Richmond Student Engagement Center

Product Type: Magnetic Graphics System
Goal: The University of Richmond's Bonner Center for Civic Engagement collaborated with their spatial analysis lab to design a large map of Richmond to facilitate place-based learning and reflection, serve as a resource for students seeking to engage in the community, and showcase stories of civic engagement.
Result/Solution: After digging into the University of Richmond's needs, we chose a 12’-0”x 8’-0” map of the city on our magnetic material, laminated in dry-erase. This will allow students to draw out various routes and see the various locations they are working at/engaging in at the same time. In lieu of our “stickies”, they opted for various sizes of white dry-erase overlays where they can write in a location name or add notes. The University will also utilize magnetic “pushpins” to mark the locations.
