Goal: Provide film that provides patient privacy while adding playful design to the space.

Result/Solution: Custom graphics were created using a 3-color print on translucent etch film with full color opaque images visible on both sides of the film. The etch film has a unique quality in that it is semi-private. It becomes more private with the amount of ink coverage. It allows the transmission of light/shadows, but as objects get closer to the film, they become less private. “This design was created for the Pediatric and Adolescent sleep and Forensics Unit, located in Pavilion HA in Chandler Hospital for the University of Kentucky Healthcare. The client needed a fun and playful film to obscure the patients waiting in the lobby , yet still emulate their new graphics and let in light.
