Project Name: DTSB Community Art Project

Product Type: Wall Solutions: Textured Surface Film
Goal: Cover an unsightly wall with a Colorful Community Art Display
Result/Solution: The Olee Team worked with Down Town South Bend leaders on this innovative community art project. DTSB commissioned an artist to paint the “Keeper of the Flame” mural to use as the basis for the project. The commissioned work was sliced into 720 1” x 1” pieces, and given to community members at the annual Art Beat Festival, where they were asked to “paint what you see” on a 12” x 12” square. The 720 twelve inch squares were then assembled back together and a high resolution photo was taken, which was used as the file needed to print the 40 foot mural. The Olee Team took it from there, creating the art file and printing the 40 foot image on 3M’s textured surface film. The film’s unique ability to adhere to brick made it the perfect solution for this colorful mural.
