BMG Children's Oncology

Project Name: BMG Children's Oncology Artwork in South Bend, IN
The Goal
The goal of the project was to brighten up the long corridor that children go through on their way to procedures. Olee provided artwork for the patient rooms and corridors years ago but the 100’ corridor that children must travel down was lacking décor and positive distraction.
The Challenge
It was challenging to cover a large area and stay within budget. To save costs on image fees, we gathered images the hospital had previously used on other floors and made selections from those.
The Result
We designed large pieces and staggered them in the corridor from left to right. As the children are wheeled down the hall they can look left and right without missing anything. There were 17 nature-themed Class A fire rated Lexan artwork pieces added. We also created one large wall vinyl graphic at the end of the corridor to welcome the children back to the space. We chose bright, friendly images that nurses could engage in conversation with the children as they moved through the space.
